Please Help Me Find a Psychologist
Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read my story.
My name is Sarah Natasha. I'm not usually the kind of person who asks for help — especially not like this. But I've reached a point where I know I need to be honest, both with myself and with others.
My doctors have advised me to seek professional psychological support. It's not something I came to lightly. I've been struggling for a while, quietly, and after speaking with my GP, the recommendation was clear: I need access to ongoing, professional help.
The NHS has been as supportive as it can be. But like so many people, I'm facing a waiting list that could stretch on for a very long time. I work part-time and I live on a low income. By the time I cover my essential living costs, there simply isn't anything left over.
Private psychology sessions cost £77 each. That's a lot of money when you're already stretched thin — and when you need those sessions regularly, it quickly becomes something I simply can't manage alone.
I've set up this GoFundMe not because I want to, but because I genuinely don't know what else to do. I'm not asking for luxury — I'm asking for access to care that my doctor says I need.
If you've ever been in a place where you needed support and couldn't get it, you'll understand what this feels like. If you haven't — I hope you never do.
Thank you for being here. It means more than you know.
